The purpose of the Competitive Model United Nations Team is to provide structured, advanced training in public speaking, research, debate, negotiation, and MUN procedure. The team will prepare motivated students to represent Carlmont and compete successfully at collegiate and national-level Model UN conferences.

We are a chapter of YDSA, a national organization of student activists. We aim to organize students in the fight for changes in our community, and for our collective liberation. Our mission is profoundly democratic, feminist, and anti-racist.
Carlmont Model United Nations allows students to learn more about the United Nations and participate in mockup tournaments and competitions.
To develop students' speech and debate skills in a variety of events in order to create a strong team that will compete at various tournaments.
